Instrument Adaptation; cross-cultural studies.
The adaptation of instruments for assessment (tests, questionnaires) is increasingly important in the context of the international clinical research. The adaptation of an instrument for use in another country or to a different population will always face difficulties that need to be solved.

In fact, not only is it the linguistic translation of the test but the existing cross-cultural differences that also have to dealt with. Therefore, the adaptation process has to include at its final stage the equivalence statement of the new instrument to the original (1).

The aim of the adaptation process is to obtain a instrument for measurement in a new version but equivalent to the original (2).
